Product Description XPV stands for Xtreme Performance vehicle and this radio controlled car is certainly living up to its name. Bringing the pain to all terrain, the Super Terranator is a remote control vehicle for any season, as it performs equally over land, water, mud, and snow. It also has some impressive numbers: two engines, 4-wheel drive, 12 volts of juice, up to 15mph, and working range of 150 feet. The ability to conquer almost any terrain, means the Terranator is actually five vehicles in one. With huge, knobby tires and a unique water skimming hull, this RC is a street car, dragster, snowmobile, 4x4, and swamp buggy combined into one awesome vehicle. The bold orange and black color and a design influenced by real stealth planes give the car an appearance appropriately matching its fierce capabilities. The XPV Super Terranator comes ready to play with a rechargeable nickel metal hydride battery, a full function two-channel controller, and one 9v battery for the controller.

replacement/refund company policySeptember 2, 2008 Elaine W. Calhoun(virginia beach va.) We were very disappointed with the quality of the first super Terrantor that we ordered (as a gift to our 10 year-old grandson. Happily, Shark Store offered a replacement or a refund. We just received the replacement one, but have not had an opportunity to test-drive it with our grandson. Kudos to the company for their hassle-free replacement/refund policy.
Powerful RC car but short run !!January 21, 2008 handson(sandiego, ca United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Pros:
1- Strong engine, can run on any surfaces
2- Well constructed body, withstand lots of collisions
Cons:
1- Battery does not last long, only 3-4 minutes play with 2-hour charge
2- Can't swap out the battery since it's built internally
3- Inconvenient: I have to remove the end cap every time to plug in the charger
Awesome speed and power, but controller range is badJanuary 8, 2008 A. Packham(Apex, NC) This is one of the funnest RC cars I've driven. It is very fast and powerful. It drives great across just about any surface. It can even get some good air off a hill in our yard. I'm having a blast driving it with my kids, but ...
I'm returning it for an exchange. I noticed that my kids were chasing the car as they drove it around. We discovered that the controller has a range of only about 30 ft. As soon as it goes out of range it loses control. I've tried fresh batteries and fresh charges, but no real difference.
I hope Amazon will honor the exchange even though the vehicle is quite beat up from many crashes and rolls (it is very durable!!!).
Fun While it LastsJanuary 1, 2008 Argyle This is a REALLY FUN toy - for about 10-15 minutes. Then you're carrying it home. I don't know if this is typical for RC cars, but for 3-4 hours charging, I expect more than a few minutes of run time.
Like others have mentioned, the cosmetic "roll bars" come off too easily, and the tube encasing the antenna bends and eventually breaks off when the car flips - which is pretty often until you learn how to control it reliably. Also, the cover over the charger is kind of a pain to unscrew with adult-sized fingers. Those are pretty minor complaints though.
This is a toy that could get 5 stars with an improved battery.
